Spiro

Spiro Products are based on Spirinolactone, a substance used for decades in medicine, although not as treatment for hair loss. Taken orally, Spironolactone is a potent anti androgen. As a topical, apart from functioning as a mild anti androgen it also blocks the hormonal receptor sites on the hair follicles, although probably not to a high level of efficiency. Spiro comes mostly as a cream which takes a long time to absorb into the skin, making it very inconvenient to use.
